1986 Gibson '59 Reissue 'Pre Historic' Les Paul electric guitar, made in USA; Body: heritage cherry sunburst finished top upon dark cherry mahogany back, lacquer blemishes to top edges, light checking and other dings, heavy buckle wear to back edge, dings and various marks to edges including lacquer loss; Neck: mahogany, lacquer checking and finish loss throughout; Fretboard: rosewood, mild wear including deeper grooves to second and thirteenth frets; Frets: good, refret; Electrics: working, two replacement pots; Hardware: generally good, replacement nickel Grover tuners; Case: later Gibson Custom Art Historic hard case; Weight: 4.01kg; Overall condition: good for age *An early 1986 model that has earlier 1985 features including black cavity covers and still retaining the dot over the I of the Gibson logo. General features of this model include the ink stamped serial number, deep red mahogany back, two Patent number stamped Gibson Tim Shaw era humbucking pickups, HCSB (heritage cherry sunburst) and 'Made in USA' stamps in the neck pickup cavity. Changes to this model include a recent pro refret with Gibson historic style wire, tuners changed to old nickel Grovers, two pots changed to CTS 1991 (originals fifteenth week of 1986 CTS) and the Custom Art Historic case which was supplied in error by a previous owner (originals are usually generic brown). All wear on the guitar is genuine player wear/ageing
