Bernie Marsden - Whitesnake era 1976 Ibanez 2459 Destroyer electric guitar, made in Japan; Body: mahogany, refinished, various dings and marks; Neck: generally good, a few dings; Fretboard: rosewood; Frets: good; Electrics: working, Bernie Marsden Signature pickups installed; Hardware: generally good, repaired splits to neck pickup surround, minor tarnishing to metal parts; Weight: 3.77kg; Overall condition: good for age *Bought by Bernie Marsden as soon as he saw it at Top Gear Music in Denmark Street, London having admired the then impossible to find and rare original Gibson Explorer's. Bernie had the guitar refinished / customised by Dick Knight. This guitar features on page 253 of Bernie's book 'Tales of Tone and Volume'. In the book the guitar is fitted with its original DiMarzio pickups and is now fitted with a set his Signature Humbucker pickups.
