Guitar by Juan Pagés, Cadiz 1791, with six double courses of string, the tapered head with rosewood face and shaped outline bearing twelve tuning pegs mounted with pearl eyes, the fingerboard with eleven brass frets plus another five on the table, the two-piece figured maple back with ebony binding to the edges and similar wood to the sides, the fine grain spruce table with ebonised and pearl inlaid decoration, the sound hole surround inlaid boxwood and ebony lines enclosing a continuous band of inlaid pearl circles, the rosewood tie bridge flanked by freted moustaches, in an ebonised wooden case
