Spanish six course guitar by Josef Pages, Cadiz 1812, labelled Josef Pages, me hizo en Cadiz anno de 1812, converted from a double course six string guitar to a standard single course six string guitar, no. 70, also inscribed; Back and Sides: figured rosewood restored splits and over varnishing; Top: fine grained spruce with repaired splits and over varnishing: Fretboard: rosewood, later white disc position markers added to the fifth, seventh, ninth and twelfth fret positions; Frets: sixteen brass frets tapering into the table, very worn; Tuning Pegs: head bearing six replacement pegs, eleven further friction pegs included within the case; Bridge: replacement bridge to allow for the string conversion; Case: original fitted ebonised hard case; Weight: 1.16kg; Dimensions: length of back 452mm, scale length 650mm, total length 970mm, width of lower bout 272mm, width of upper bout 215mm, body depth 13mm
