1961 Fender Precision bass guitar, made in USA, ser. no. 5xxx6; Finish: Fiesta red, old refinish over sunburst and gold; Fretboard: rosewood; Frets: mild oxidisation and visible wear; Electrics: working, later earth wire added onto pot, both pots replaced; Hardware: later control knobs, non-original pickup cover, pickup cover and bridge cover screws replaced, thumb rest screws replaced, many scratchplate screws later, upper strap button screw replaced; Case: original UK issued ‘Kitchens of Leeds’ croc skin case in tired condition; Overall condition: fair

*Purchased by the vendor in 1964 in the current Fiesta red finish. There is evidence in the neck pocket and underneath the pickguard of previous sunburst and metallic gold paint leading us to believe that this guitar has been refinished twice in its early life
