1958 Gibson ES-335 semi-hollow body electric guitar, made in USA, ser. no. A2xxx0, FON T4xxx5; Finish: sunburst, mild checking and further minor blemishes, repaired holes to the tail end where a Bigsby tailpiece has previously been installed, also a slight shadow visible on the front of the body where the Bigsby unit used to sit, front of head refinished – most likely due to a repair after a hole was created from using longer screws with previous tuners, heel area of neck refinished; Fretboard: rosewood, visible wear to the first three frets; Frets: refret; Electrics: working, low output from bridge pickup, pickup covers previously removed; Hardware: stop bar from an early ’60s ES-335, nut replaced, tuners correct for the year, but not original to this guitar, further old tuner holes beneath current tuners; Case: period correct Selmer blond hard case; Overall condition: good for age
