*Won by Charlie Faulkner in a BBC Radio One competition on the Bruno Brookes Rock Shop, January 1987. The guitar is accompanied by a BBC Radio One headed letter, dated 13th January 1987, from Radio One research assistant Carrie Turner, inviting Mr Faulkner to personally pick the guitar up from Radio One, meet Bruno and have a look around the studios. A photograph documenting the meeting in the studio is included and depicts Mr Faulkner holding the guitar with Bruno Brookes. A cassette tape with a sound bite of Bruno Brookes announcing the winner is also supplied. On the recording, it is confirmed that this is the guitar that Maurice Gibb composed the 1975 Bee Gees hit ‘Jive Talkin’ on.

More recently the guitar featured on Channel Four’s ‘Four Rooms’ (Season 4, Episode 1) where Mr Faulkner agreed a sale with Celia Sawyer. In this episode Mr Faulkner again confirms with the dealers that Maurice Gibb wrote ‘Jive Talkin’ on the guitar. Celia Sawyer later sold the guitar to a UK private collector
