Sold with a receipt of sale to the vendor, signed by Big Jim Sullivan along with a photograph of the pair together holding the guitar. This guitar is one of two JS Legend guitars made for Big Jim, this being the second which he used more extensively as he preferred the feel of the neck. Big Jim Sullivan, who died at the age of 81, was a legendary British guitarist who played on more than fifty number one singles, as well as a thousand other hits. He worked with many of the pop stars of the 1960s and ’70s including Tom Jones, Marianne Faithfull, David Bowie, Gerry and the Pacemakers and Frankie Vaughan and can be heard on various hits including Dave Berry’s ‘The Crying Game’, Petula Clarke’s ‘Downtown’, Tom Jones’ ‘What’s New Pussycat’ and Shirley Bassey’s ‘Goldfinger’
