1939 Gibson L5 Premiere archtop guitar, made in USA; Body: blonde finish, top adapted to fit later installed Charlie Christian pickup, lacquer checking, further minor dings and marks but very acceptable for age; Neck: good, neck heel reset, binding repairs; Fretboard: ebony; Frets: good, refret; Electrics: later fitted Charlie Christian pickup; Hardware: good, Gibson Patent number Tune-O-Matic bridge upon later wooden bridge plate (another older wooden bridge plate included in the case); Case: original hard case; Weight: 3.29kg; Overall condition: good; * It is thought that the Charlie Christian pickup and loom on this guitar were installed by Gibson in circa 1957, having Centralab 38th week 1957 potentiometers and 50s period bonnet knobs, making this a possibly unique archtop from Gibsons golden period.
