Handmade classical guitar by Edwin Barker, August 1961, the label inscribed 'Viva Fui insylvis, Dura accisa securi, Dum vixi tacui, mortua dulce cano'; Back and sides: Indian rosewood, surface scratches and dings; Top: natural spruce, hairline to centre top, over-varnishing and general wear; Neck: mahogany; Fretboard: rosewood; Frets: oxidisation and tarnishing; Hardware: good; Case: homemade fitted hard case; Sound length: 650mm; Nut width: 55mm; Overall condition: fair *Made for the vendors father by his friend, Edwin Barker. The label inscription translates to "While I was alive I was wild, I was cut down by the axe, While I lived I was silent, and when I died I sang sweetly"
