This guitar features on page 195 of Bernie Marsden's book 'Tales of Tone and Volume' where Bernie states 'This is a bit of a curio'. The first record my name appeared on was by the previous owner of this very guitar- Chick Churchill and the legendary 'Ten Years After'. I was in a shop in Oxford a few years ago and I saw this hanging on the wall. It's a Mexican (sic) Strat from the 1980s, I think - I played it and enquired about it. When the assistant told me that it belonged to the legendary Ten Years After keyboard player, I just had to have it!, Black with maple neck, it plays great, and I always wonder if the great Alvin Lee played it. I saw Chick in 2016 at The Rory Gallagher Festival in Ireland for the first time in a few years but forgot to ask him about the guitar, which I fully intend to do next time I see him. Ask a Question
