This particular example is intricately engraved by Danny O'Brien, the same artist that engraved all of Tony Zemaitis' original builds, including body face plates, logo plaques, truss rod covers, pickup surrounds and bridge blocks. The octopus design for this guitar was created by Danny O'Brien's son Lee, as per the inscription upon the guitar. The guitar is sold with Lee's original hand-drawn sketch, including another of the 'God of the Sea' that is engraved to the control cover plate. The guitar is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Danny O'Brien, certifying that the engraving is indeed his work with the octopus design being unique, completed by his hand at the time of manufacture, circa 2006 Included in the sale is the offer from Danny O'Brien to have a new truss rod cover inscribed with the new owners name.
