635 :: Michael Chapman - Gittler travel guitar, with original gig bag * Given to Michael circa 2018 in Israel by the son of the inventor. See images of Michael attempting to play it! The Gittler is a minimalistic guitar designed by Allan Gittler, consisting of a thin rod with frets welded to it. It is thought that only 560 were built. In the early 80s he emigrated to Israel, where the later Gittler guitar were made by the Aston corporation under a licencing agreement. A US made Gittler is the only musical instrument in the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
