David Rotheray (The Beautiful South) and Slash - owned and used 1994 Takamine EN-10C acoustic guitar, made in Japan, ser. no. 94090467; Back and sides: mahogany, various scratches and marks; Top: natural, various wear, signed by Slash; Neck: mahogany, minor dings; Fretboard: rosewood; Frets: wear; Electrics: working; Hardware: good; Case: fitted hard case; Overall condition: good for age *Extensively used by David Rotheray as his main writing guitar with The Beautiful South and later solo projects. The guitar was used to write seven Beautiful South albums including three number ones and used to write or record hit singles 'Prettiest Eyes', 'Don't Marry Her' and 'Rotterdam (Or Anywhere)'. The guitar bears some of David's original chord pace notes to the bass side The top of the guitar is hand signed by Slash of Guns n' Roses from when the pair met on the set of Jools Holland's 9th Annual Hootenanny in 2001. Slash was playing with Ronnie Wood and Dave did an acoustic number with Paul Heaton
